So I thought of having an event called 'Celebrations' where I would open out my blog to some of my friends who would share some parts of their journey with me as Guest Posts......
Puneet is the most chilled out guy I've ever met... I met him at work and there was no looking back. He's charming, sweet, rustic, straight-from-the-heart kinda guy who loves traveling n exploring new places n cultures. He sets a party on fire.... quite literally at that.. :)A small something for the indian readers of Puneet... He will select 1 lucky commenter to win complimentary meal vouchers from Buzz, a bar which has funky n retro interiors with electrifying music at PVR Anupam complex, Saket, New Delhi. So be sure to leave a note at the end of this post with your location. Readers in other countries can share the same with anyone in proximity of the bar.
I call him Mad Hatter... Read about our Tungnath trek and you will know why.. Day 1, Day 2 [Trek to Deveria Tal], Day 2 [Trek to Tunganath], Day 3 [Return Journey].
I wrote a gtalk tagline once "Aaj Main Khush Huun, Lo Tum Hi Bolo Main Huun Khush Kyuun, Jaldi Jaldi Bolo Chalo" and it's reactions snowballed into a contest which puneet won. He thought, I was happy cause "u did it with abhishek bachhan in ur dream.... ?". Amazing guy with an awesome sense of humour... :)
Puneet and Vivek talked me into parasailing in Billing, Himachal Pradesh at 8500 ft.
His work was a reflection of him. What impressed me the most was his capability to see things from an end user's perspective. His ability to break down a project into achievable milestones and then seeing them through, helped us in meeting deadlines on some new products. His move to product was a new chapter which saw him reach greater heights.
His passion for photography made him start a eCommerce portal for Microstock Images and his adventurous side made him a Marketing Consultant at Air Devils. He's currently in Bangalore working in a startup called redBus.in
The 2 pictures below are clicked by puneet..... aren't they amazing.....
Nachiketa, or Nachi as we lovingly call her is, different! (Yes, I’m not very imaginative when it comes to synonymy) You’ve never met a woman like her; in fact you’ve never met a person like her.
She can be anything she wants to be, as variable as her blog name. As domineering as an elder sister one moment, as caring as a mother the next. As elegant as a princess one moment, and as freewheeling as a sweet sixteen the next! And just like the varied facets to this personality, I have varied memories of the times spent with her - From the sheer serenity of sipping beer at 2am on a beach while talking about life, universe & everything, to absolute dread running after her as she rolled downhill on a failed take off attempt with a chute. From the pure bliss of sitting among clouds from morning till late night and singing songs we can’t remember now, to the nervous joy of surviving a hailstorm in a flimsy tent.
I can’t recount just one memory or incident with her as I just can’t choose. All I’ll say is that I am indeed very lucky to have a friend like her. Life is richer for times spent with her and I hope to make many more memories in the years ahead.
And did I mention that she bakes amazing cakes and makes delectable desserts? I really enjoyed the Apple Cake she made for my birthday and Chocolate cake for Gunjan and Anuraag. Try them if you haven’t already or else lose flaunting rights of being amongst the famous baker’s early customers!
Godspeed Nachi. Loads of love.
